Causes & Conditions

Starts September 30, 2026

Nervous system education to help support a sober life.

In mindfulness and psychology, "causes and conditions" is the practice of suspending judgment and looking objectively at the complex network of factors that led to where you are — then focusing only on what is within your control. That's exactly what this program does.

If "taking the edge off" with a substance is no longer an option, this program offers a healthier alternative. You'll learn what's happening in your nervous system, why it got wired this way, and how to regulate it without the shortcuts.

This is for anyone who recognizes that substances were doing a job — and now it's time to learn healthier ways to do that job yourself.

This is for you if...

You recognize that substances are no longer working for you and want healthier options

You're hypervigilant and reactive and don't want to be

You've traded one quick fix for another — food, scrolling, shopping

You want to feel comfortable in your skin without reaching for a substance

You want to relax but feel like your body won't cooperate, or you feel shut down and numb

You want practical tools and evidence-based skills you can begin using immediately

The Missing Piece

Choosing a sober lifestyle is the first step. Understanding your nervous system is what can help support it.

Causes & Conditions teaches you what's happening in your body, why it's happening, and — most importantly — what to do about it. No clinical jargon. No judgment. Just real tools for real life.

Meet Your Guide

Aimee Page, LPC, MS, NCC

I'm a Board Certified, Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master's in Trauma Counseling from Thomas Jefferson University and a certification in Somatic Addiction Treatment.

I've spent years working in substance abuse treatment and running my private psychotherapy practice. Along the way, I've facilitated hundreds of groups — and the most impactful were about the nervous system. They helped people connect the dots of why we use substances. The irritability. The restlessness. The shutdown. The being "triggered" and not knowing why. That's what this program is about.

I believe that understanding your nervous system can help explain why we reach for things that numb, distract, or take the edge off. When the "why" starts to make sense, real change becomes possible.

I created these programs to make this education accessible outside of a therapy office — practical, grounded, and designed for people who are ready to feel at home in their own body.

Sober Curious

Exploring your relationship with substances — before it becomes a crisis.

Not everyone who questions their drinking or substance use is in crisis. Some people are simply noticing that the way they use substances doesn't feel right anymore — the glass of wine that turned into a bottle, the edible that became a nightly ritual, the nagging feeling that you're using something to avoid something else.

Sober Curious is for people who are ready to get honest about their relationship with substances — and curious about what life looks like without them. This program meets you where you are, without pressure and without labels.
